Lydia Hascott, Learning Lab Initiative
Lydia Hascott oversees the Climate Safe Learning Lab’s immersive leadership development program for banking professionals who are advancing the climate agenda within their organizations. Lydia is also Head of Intrapreneurship at The Finance Innovation Lab, a nonprofit working for a financial system that is democratic, sustainable, just and resilient. There she she leads work with large financial institutions to align their strategy, operations and culture to deliver the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement.
Lydia sits on the advisory group of the Banking on a Just Transition initiative run by the Grantham Institute at London School of Economics and is a judge of the Chartered Banker Institute’s Young Banker of the Year competition. Alongside her work at The Finance Innovation Lab, Lydia is also an independent consultant designing and delivering systems change strategies, multi-stakeholder collaborations, organisational development projects, and developing systems leaders by drawing upon her cross-sector background centered on systems change, sustainable finance, and leadership development. She is a qualified coach and trained action learning facilitator which underpins her collaborative approach to supporting innovators across sectors. Lydia holds degrees in Social Innovation from the University of New South Wales and in Business and Sociology from the University of Auckland. In 2020, the University of Auckland named Lydia as one of their 40 Under 40 Inspiring Alumni.
